Homecoming Fever

Homecoming #2 is only a few short weeks away.... The first group of My husbands unit arrived in baumholder!. I am so excited for my husbands turn to leave 'stan and come home!.
I Cant wait for October to be over!. i cant wait for this nightmare to be over!. I CANT wait to hold my husband in my arms, and wake up next to him. But what i am looking forward to the most, is that my husband FINALLY gets to spend some quality time with his daughters, i cant wait to see their happy faces when they FINALLY get to hug daddy for the first time in FOREVER

Visa in progress

Hey dear readers,

i feel quite Proud of myself!. As most of you know i am in the process of getting my visa for our PCS in February 2012. On Tuesday i went to the MP station and got my MP Report, i had to drop it off at my husbands unit, so his commander can sign it!. I also got my first set of shots (OUCH -  and i have to go back for round two in 30 days lol) and my German police Report. My husband also took a picture of himself that should work PERFECTLY for his passport picture, he even cropped it in the correct size ( how i love this man) He downloaded/ printed and signed all the forms and sent them my way. As soon as i get these i will mail off part ONE of my visa paperwork!. Everything goes as planned BUT i had trouble with Hailey's Passport and SSN
I need another form, which my husband has to send through mail since they need the Original and no copy!. But i am determined to get it all done before my husband comes home from this Deployment!.

change in plans

For the past few weeks i have tried to access my Husbands (or mine) AKO account to see if he came down on orders, with no luck... something is wrong with my lap top / desktop or the security settings, i cant access the page at all!. Well tonight my husband told me that our Deros changed to ALOT sooner then we thought (big sad face) well that COULD mean he came down on orders BUT i cant check and its driving me NUTS. I would love to know where we go next!
We put Hawaii, Fort Knox, & fort Jackson on our 'dream sheet'' we would be happy if we get one of them ( but hawaii is our first choice we would LOVE to go there next!)

Homecoming

How do you Celebrate the homecoming of your Hero?.
For us its JUST our Family, no big gathering or party
(on my husbands request). he said he doesnt want ANYONE
around but ''his Girls'' for at least a week!. And i can
TOTALLY understand why! But he will be coming home
to a Decorated home, his favorite food and some
little things that i know will make his day!. The first night home
we usually dont do anything but cuddle, watch movies and enjoy
being together again!
he is excited to see what i came up with this time around :)
some ppl think i am over doing the whole ''deco'' thing but
to me My husbands homecoming is THE event of the year!. its the
day i have been waiting for since the second he left!.

Once in a while (with a lot of luck) i get to see my husband over webcam! and tonight was one of those nights.We got to chat for almost 2 hours it was WONDERFUL. Those webcam dates always make my Day <3

Seeing him still gives me butterflies. I am sure ill be able to sleep better tonight after seeing him <3 

Is it homecoming yet????

We are well over 50% done with this Deployment and slowly but surely i am starting to get excited about THE event... his homecoming is what i have been looking forward to the second he left for this Deployment!. So tonight i FINALLY decided on a theme for his Welcome home Cake and i LOVE IT! i hope he will like it as well :D. And i also decided to start with the Decoration! One project a week to make time pass!. Ill make all of it fron scratch but i will order a huge banner for our Balcony <3 My Friend Brianna gave me some AWESOME ideas you HAVE to check out her blog, shes like the most creative and crafty person ive ever met in my entire life!. this weekend i will visit my Family in Trier and HOPEFULLY i will get some shopping done i need LOTS AND LOTS of crafts stuff :D  

Deployments

My Husband has been gone for a while now, we are "over the Hump" and for the last few weeks PPL told me "be happy you are 50% done, its all downhill from here, he will be home soon!". Uhm No he wil not be home soon we still have XX months To go!. And just because we are "over the hump" doesnt make this Deployment a bit better. Yeswe are 50% done with this deployment, and i am grateful for that, but that just means thats been a very long time since ive seen my husband last and its still a long time until i will get to hold him again!. Deployments suck... and everyone that says "it will get easier with time" Lies ... it never gets easier!. For us ARMY Wives Deployments are 12 months long... How in the World is it supposed to get easier if you have to be without the one you love for that long? That doesnt make sense. And for some reason Deployment 2+ are alot harder!. The first time around you dont really know what to expect, everything is new. But with every Deployment memories of previous Deployments surface and it makes you worry even more because you know whats happening over there!. i hate not knowing if my husband is ok or not!. And i hate saying our Goodbyes on the phone because i never know if there will be a next phonecall. Every Day is a new challenge..... and an overwhelming one at that!. But i try to take it one day at the time, praying and having faith in God that he will bring my Soldier and every other Service member home Safe, sound and Soon!.

PS: Next time re-think what you are about to say to a fellow Military wife.... something that SOUNDS comforting to you might just rip HER heart apart even more

OK I have a question!. Do you think Soldiers that cant controll their temper should get an Article 15?.
ALSO how about the ones VIOLATING OPSEC?????

 my 2 cents to this:  HECK TO THE YEAH!!!. If you cant handle the stress of being deployed and go off for every little stupid thing you DESERVE to get your ass Punished!.  If you feel overwhelmed go talk to a friggin chaplain but dont act like a total moron!.

The OPSEC thing pisses me off the most!. WHY in the world would you post sensitive information on a public Platform such as Blogger / facebook ect???? its not just YOUR ass you put in danger NOOOOOOO its your WHOLE unit you put in danger just because u wanna put stupid shit on your lil wifeys page UGH... they should DEFINITELY get at least a negative councelling for that shit
